Kalak cave Pacitan, The beauty of Cave wrapped in Mystical Story







Long before the Gong cave found, this cave has become a prima donna mainstay tour in Pacitan. Its location was not far from Gong cave, about 5 km from cave Gong. In this cave ever found the ancient human fossils that indicate that Pacitan has become one of the center of ancient human life in Indonesia.Apart from being a tourist place, this cave is also often used as a place of hermitage, this is seen from the stalactites are soaring high green almost reached the roof of the cave. It is not far from the entrance.The stalactite was named Saka Guru and became the most sacred spot in this cave.
Beside it there is a hermitage with a floor that has been coated with ceramics. And this becomes the most sacred place.Visitors will find the rest of the remains of incense and flowers because until now there are still some people who do rituals ascetic in this place.

 


Many visitors from outside Pacitan who had been to this cave even some officials have also done rituals in this historic cave.According to the story of local residents, Kalak cave is a place of rituals of Raden Brawijaya in the days of the Majapahit Kingdom.This cave is also the oldest cave in Pacitan area. While the cave guard Kalak named Mr. Manrejo (mbah Tugiman) who began to keep this cave since 1965, mbah Tugiman is the third descendant of the first guard.He said that one of the ceramics inside the cave for the ascetic was made by a visitor who originally meditated at Lawu Mountain then got enlightenment to find the hermitage of Raden Brawijaya, after finding this Kalak cave then he made a rectangular ceramic place for the visitors of Kalak cave want to meditate.

 


Behind Saka Guru you will find stalactites similar to piles of skeletal bones and skulls that resemble mass graves in Toraja land,and next to this place obtained stalactite rocks such as animals, flowers or giant mushrooms are beautiful as wood carvings.Entering the room more deeply, will meet with a room that is more loose and roofed higher, on the north there is like a giant curtain carving, and the king's throne made of teak wood.This place declined slightly toward the north, curling from the entrance.in the west will get a king room that is covered with a curtain that looks like a beautiful carved teak wood.This place is higher than the flat in the cave, and behind this room-like room there is an unspoiled long corridor to the southwest.

 


Some sides of the cave are still restricted by fences and locked so that they cannot be passed.
It is said that many who think that this cave mystique causes some parts of the cave to be sealed so that residents do not hang around.Indeed many mystical stories about this cave that even beat the beauty of stalagmite ornaments and stalactites.  Access to the cave location is very easy, because it is on the edge of the road when we are going to the Klayar beach precisely located on the left (east).
